All classes are held at Anglican Chinese Mission, Glenmore St, Thorndon, opposite the Botanic Gardens.

Recreation competitive

For gymnasts who want more than a standard recreation class. For example, those keen to compete but who can't dedicate the hours required to join competitive gymnastics. 

Option to compete at local competitions and our end-of-year show. 

One weekly class (two and a half hours) with our junior competitive gymnasts and an optional ballet class on Sat 12.45pm to 1.45pm. For class days and times, see Levels 1 + 2.

$300 a term

Competitive levels

Levels 1-10

Levels 1 + 2

Two sessions a week plus one ballet class (recreation competive one session a week). Choose from:

  • Mon 4.30pm to 7pm
  • Wed 4pm to 6.30pm
  • Fri 4pm to 6.30pm
  • Sat 9am to 11.30am OR 2pm to 4.30pm
  • Ballet Sat 12pm to 12.45pm OR 12.45pm to 1.45pm (optional for Rec comp)

Level 3 + 4

Three sessions a week plus one ballet class (recreation competive one session a week). 

  • Tue 5pm to 7.30pm
  • Thu 5pm to 7.30pm
  • Sat 3.30pm to 6pm
  • Ballet Sat 2pm to 3pm

Level 5

Three sessions a week plus one ballet class. Choose from:

  • Mon 4pm to 7.30pm
  • Tue 4pm to 7.30pm (L5 only)
  • Wed 4pm to 7.30pm
  • Thu 4pm to 7.30pm
  • Fri 5pm to 8.30pm
  • Sat 9am to 12.30pm (L5 only) OR 1pm to 4.30pm
  • Ballet Fri 4pm to 5pm OR Sat 4.30pm to 5.30pm

Levels 6 + 7

Three sessions a week plus one ballet class. Choose from:

    • Mon 4pm to 7.30pm
    • Wed 4pm to 7.30pm
    • Thu 4pm to 7.30pm
    • Fri 5pm to 8.30pm
    • Sat 1pm to 4.30pm
    • Ballet Fri 4pm to 5pm OR Sat 4.30pm to 5.30pm

                Levels 8 + 9 + 10

                Four sessions a weekplus one ballet class. Choose from:

                  • Mon 4pm to 7.30pm
                  • Wed 4pm to 7.30pm
                  • Thu 4pm to 7.30pm
                  • Fri 5pm to 8.30pm
                  • Sat 1pm to 4.30pm
                  • Ballet Fri 4pm to 5pm OR Sat 4.30pm to 5.30pm

                            Stages 1-4

                            High performance pathway for younger gymnasts. Age restrictions apply.

                            Stage 1

                            Two sessions a week plus one ballet class (same as Levels 1+2). Choose from:

                            • Mon 4pm to 6.30pm
                            • Wed 4pm to 6.30pm
                            • Fri 4pm to 6.30pm
                            • Sat 9am to 11.30am OR 2pm to 4.30pm
                            • Ballet Sat 12pm to 12.45pm

                            Stage 2

                            Three sessions a week plus one ballet class.

                                          Stages 3 + 4 + Junior International

                                          Four sessions a week plus two ballet classes. Choose from:

                                          • Thu 4pm to 6.30pm
                                          • Fri 4pm to 7pm
                                          • Sat 11.30am-3pm OR 3pm-6pm. 
                                          • Ballet Fri 6pm to 7pm OR 7pm to 8pm
                                          • Ballet Sat 3pm to 4pm

                                          Groups

                                          Grade V group: Tue 4pm to 7.30pm — self-directed warm-up from 4pm, routines training from 4.30pm.
